Dauntsey Park House is well situated between the historic city of Bath and Cirencester and within easy reach of the pretty Cotswold towns Tetbury and Malmesbury.

Other famous attractions and gardens to visit include Abbey House Gardens, Malmesbury, home of the ‘Naked Gardeners’ Ian and Barbara Pollard and Highgrove Royal Gardens.

Malmesbury Abbey. The current Abbey building dates back to the 12th century and is built on a site of worship used from the 7th century.

The celebrated Westonbirt Arboretum is within half an hour.  Womad Festival is a 10 minute drive.

The beautiful villages of Lacock and Castle Combe are nearby. Owned by the National Trust, Lacock includes the famous Abbey and Fox Talbot museum. Castle Combe has been called the prettiest village in England.

The stately homes of BowoodLongleat and Chavenage are also within easy reach. Bowood and Longleat are wonderful days out for all the family with their adventure playground and safari park attractions.

Local sporting events include Badminton and Gatcombe Horse trials as well as the famous Cheltenham Festival. For those preferring four wheels to four legs, Castle Combe racing circuit is close by. There is also an excellent 18 hole golf course at Bowood.
