Dauntsey Park House Church

The Church of St James The Great, Dauntsey is built on a site that has been used for worship for over 1000 years. The interlinked history between the state, local gentry and the church is reflected in the fabric of the building, revealing what was at times a stormy relationship. The Dauntsey doom board is one of only five known painted tympana in the country hanging in their original, pre reformation position.
